Mới đây, Coin98 đã trở thành đồng tiền điền tử thứ hai của Việt Nam đạt mức vốn hóa thị trường hơn 600 triệu USD.
Chỉ trong hơn một tháng sau khi ra mắt, thứ Hai ngày 23/8 đồng coin này có giá 3,47$, đạt đến mức vốn hóa thị trường là 613 triệu USD.
Giá của nó đã tăng gấp 4 lần kể từ khi được niêm yết vào ngày 23/7 trên sàn giao dịch tiền điện tử lớn nhất thế giới – Binance.
Theo một nguồn tin, trong năm nay Coin 98 Finance – công ty đứng sau đồng coin98 – đã huy động được ít nhất 5,25 triệu USD từ nhà đầu tư Hoa Kỳ – Alameda Research – và những người khác.
Đồng tiền điện tử đầu tiên của Việt Nam vượt qua vốn hóa 600 triệu USD là AXS của nhà phát triển trò chơi blockchain Axie Infinity, Hiện đang có mức vốn hóa là 2,5 tỷ đô.
Các loại tiền điện tử khác do Việt Nam phát triển bao gồm KNC với vốn hóa là 367 triệu USD, TOMO (293 triệu đô) và KAI (155 triệu đô).
